The new Avenger 82 Basalt is a versatile expert level all-mountain/on-trail ski. PowerTurn 100% traditional camber profile provides maximized power, energy and performance while carving strong turns. The classic sandwich construction with vertical sidewalls has a new layer of Basalt with Titanium stringers to remove vibration, improve snow contact and give a solid damp feel without the added weight of full metal laminates. With an all-mountain tip and wider waist, the Rossignol 82 Basalt rails on hardpack while still displaying the all-mountain versatility to blast through any snow condition. The new Rossignol Avenger 82 Basalt is loaded with horsepower and has the rock solid stability and edging power for hard charging technical skiers.

The Rossginol Frontside range bring groomers to life with adrenaline-pumping, mind-blowing carved turn ability and amazing stability at speed, delivering the highest performing lift service skis built by Rossignol.

Power Turn: GROOMED - PRECISION - EDGE GRIP - CARVING - SPEED Rossignol's Power Turn is engineered with 100% traditional high camber underfoot. The high camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for on-piste performance. The full length camber stores energy and provides explosive snap and boost.

Independent Pressuring System IPS concept optimizes transmission of power applied by the boot to the individual right or left edge to boosts power and grip. The Concave Profile amplifies this technology with higher sidewalls to apply even greater pressure to the edge.

A new larger metal binding-to-plate interface increases torsional stiffness which translates to stronger performance and precision. A control beam combined with Twin VAS (Visco Material) that absorbs vibrations, facilitates rebound directing pressure to the extremities.

Birth of a legend
Carpenter Abel Rossignol, a very committed skier, made his first skis out of solid wood in 1907. In 1937, Emile Allais became world champion on Rossignol skis. With Rossignol Olympic 41 skis, Henri Oreiller became the first French Olympic champion in history, in 1948. The Rossignol saga was already a legend. In 1956, Laurent Boix-Vives bought the company and started to sell Rossignol skis all over the world.
49 years of success and international growth since 1960
Jean Vuarnet won the 1960 Squaw Valley Winter Olympics on Allais 60s, the first all-metal skis. In 1964, Rossignol scored an international success with Strato, the first glass fiber skis.
In the Seventies, Rossignol opened for business in the USA, launched its first Nordic skis and became the biggest ski manufacturer in the world. In the Calgary Winter Olympics, Rossignol won 6 gold medals out of 10 in Alpine events. After launching our Alpine ski boot range in 1990, we developed our bindings range and then successfully diversified into snowboards and textiles. Overall winner of the Albertville and Lillehammer Winter Olympics, Rossignol became the uncontested world leader in winter sports.
