K2’s new Rival BC helmet has a unique beanie liner that makes this the full package for the ascent and the decent.  Take the shell off and leave the beanie on for comfort and ventilation on the ascent.  When you put the shell on, synthetic “Cat Tongue” laminates integrate the beanie and the helmet, allowing the helmet to slide on with ease, yet grip the beanie once in place. The unique In-Mold design, clean lines and minimal weight make this model the choice for riders who like to explore everything the mountain has to offer.

• The standard for ultra-lightweight performance helmets, it is characterized by an EPS liner that is bonded to a lightweight PC shell by means of a distinct molding process. As with the Hard Shell construction, the lightweight EPS liner forms the inner layer of the helmet and is constructed from expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads expanded to the shape of the helmet. The EPS is then wrapped by the polycarbonate (PC) shell in the In-Mold to form a clean protective envelope that is vacuum-formed paper thin to minimize weight.
